The mission of SFSA/United FC is:

to provide the highest level soccer program in South Dakota and the Region, commensurate with the needs and desires of the individual players and Club Teams;

to strive for excellence through superior coaching and training from which comes success; to develop individual player technical skills and knowledge of soccer laws, strategy and tactics;

to build self-confidence;

to promote teamwork, self-discipline and sportsmanship;

Sioux Falls' Premier Club Soccer Program

A year in the making, United Futbol Club is the result of the merger of Great Plains Soccer with the Sioux Falls Soccer Association. The new club organization has taken the best of Great Plains Soccer and added ideas and programs from around the country to create the premier club soccer program in South Dakota. A Player Development Academy, Team Trainer Program and Coaching Education Modules are just a few of the dynamic changes in store for the new club. The strength and support of of Sioux Falls Soccer Association and the Club experience of Great Plains Socer Club make an unbeatable - and UNITED - combination for great club soccer!

United Futbol Club is part of the largest soccer program in South Dakota, rostering approximately twenty (20) boys and girls U10 to U19 club teams.

United Futbol Club believes that individual player development is the centerpiece of a successful club. Our new Player Development Academy (PDA) has been designed specifically to advance the individual player. The PDA incorporates a number of programs with technical skills development as their central focus, emphasizing proven methods and techniques yet encouraging different style of individual play to fit the unique capabilities and talents of each player. An important component of United's player training is exposure to a number of different programs and trainers through our integrated Player Development Program and our Team Trainer Program. United's trainers and coaches continue to advance tehir on abilities through our new Coaching Education Modules. And as UFC players progress individually, they will also learn team tactics and strategy, becoming smart on-field players through training in field intelligence, quick decision-making, and game analysis.

Soccer is not all players learn while competing at the high level that club soccer offers. Leadership, self-confidence, perseverance, focus, teamwork, good sportsmanship - players take these positive lessons in character development with them when they leave the field. United Futbol Club views soccer as an important facet of a players' lives, but not the only thing in their lives. Perspective is improtant to placing soccer in its proper place - as one element of the development of the whole person.
